Growing Cucumbers and Achieving Early Harvest
It is hard to imagine our garden without cucumbers. Many people want to harvest vegetables as early as possible, especially young cucumbers. And this is not so difficult — cucumbers are a fast-maturing crop, especially since there are varieties whose fruiting period begins early.
Cucumbers should be sown in individual containers, since their seedlings do not tolerate transplanting very well. Fill the prepared containers with loose and fertile soil.
Cucumbers are a moisture-loving crop!
Improper watering can cause bitterness in fruits, as well as reduce the quantity and quality of the harvest. Therefore, it is necessary to thoroughly water the soil in the container and sow the seeds.
Place the seedlings in a warm location; you can cover the pots with plastic film to retain soil moisture. As soon as sprout loops appear, move the seedlings to a window or under supplemental lighting lamps.
Caring for cucumber seedlings is straightforward — the main thing is to constantly maintain soil moisture. At the same time, do not over-water the soil.
Now it is time to prepare the beds in the garden! The best option is to plant cucumbers in a warm bed. Water the prepared bed with warm water and cover it with black film to let it warm up.
Seedlings can be transplanted after the soil has warmed up to +15°C.
Cucumber seedlings are transplanted at the age of 25-30 days; by this time, the seedlings usually have 2-4 true leaves. For 10-14 days before transplanting, the seedlings must be hardened off by placing them on a balcony, porch, or by opening a window, while avoiding drafts.
Another equally important factor — during the growing season, cucumbers need to be fertilized at least 4 times. Our main task is also to protect the fruits from adverse environmental factors.
Nature can prepare a "surprise" in the form of sharp day-to-night temperature fluctuations. Temperature swings negatively affect cucumbers. Do not forget to perform standard care tasks: weeding, loosening the soil, and hilling.
We will gladly grow a rich and healthy cucumber harvest together with you!
We present to your attention Microbiological fertilizer "Biogor-Zh" of the "KM" series, designed specifically for cucumbers.
Our complex preparation contains microorganisms with probiotic, phosphate-mobilizing, nitrogen-fixing, and cellulose-decomposing capabilities, as well as carbohydrates, macro- and microelements necessary for healthy vegetable development and growth.
The preparation promotes:
- formation of more ovaries and greens, leading to increased cucumber yields;
- acceleration of cucumber ripening, allowing harvest in shorter timeframes;
- increased plant resistance to adverse environmental conditions such as weather or diseases;
- improved taste and nutritional characteristics: rich flavor and high nutritional value;
- extended shelf life of the harvest, maintaining its freshness and quality.
We wish you a rich and healthy harvest!
